God understandeth

하나님께서 이해하시며

the way thereof,

그것의 길을

and he knoweth

그분께서 아십니다

the place thereof.

그것이 있는 곳도

28

And unto man

그리고 사람에게

he said,

그분께서 말씀하셨습니다

Behold,

보라

the fear of the Lord,

주님을 두려워하는 것이

that is wisdom;

곧 지혜요

and to depart from evil

악에서 떠나는 것이

is understanding.

명철이다

But

그러나

where shall wisdom

어디서 지혜를

be found?

찾을 수 있습니까

and where is the place

어느 곳에 있습니까

of understanding?

명철은

Man knoweth not

사람이 알지 못하며

the price thereof;

그것의 값을

neither is it found

그것을 찾아낼 수도 없습니다

in the land of the living.

산 자들의 땅에서

The like figure

이와 같은 모형이

whereunto even baptism

(그 모형에) 곧 밥티슴이 (해당되는데)

doth also now save

또한 이제 구원하는 (모형입니다)

us

우리를

(not the putting away

제거하는 것이 아니라

of the filth of the flesh,

육체의 더러움을

but

다만

the answer

응답하는 것입니다

of a good conscience

선한 양심이

to ward God,)

하나님을 향하여

by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

예수 그리스도의 부활에 의해
